Porcelain is made of three materials fired at 1,400°C: 50 kaolin,
25 feldspar and 25 quartz. It is the hardest ceramic made. It is not
porous and is not damaged by grease or acidic foods. Our “high fired”
decorations are fired at 1,200°C: at this temperature, the enamel starts
to soften and fuse with the chromo colours, guaranteeing the pattern’s
great resistance and suitability for dishwasher use. It is nonetheless
necessary to follow a few rules for the use and care of your porcelain.
ˆ Make sure the plates are not subjected to rubbing, particularly when
being stacked: Raynaud’s hotel tableware is supplied with protective
inserts to place between each plate when they are stacked.
